Ketjap Manis
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup molasses
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp black pepper
Combine sugar, water and bring to a boil, stir until sugar dissolves.
Increase the heat and cook briskly uncovered for 5 min, reduce heat to low & stir in rest of ingredients & simmer for 5 additional minutes.
Chill & store in refrigerator.
