| The Hollanders Association of Brampton is an incorporated not-for-profit organization
associated with Brampton's Carabram Multicultural Festival, Carabram is the central co-ordinating body that
has organized the multicultural festival under its auspices annually since 1982. Through 18 or more groups
(13 groups in 2004) each hosting a country pavilion representing their culture and heritage through song, dance,
costumes, displays, food and drink, Carabram
facilitates the preservation, development and promotion of the cultural heritages of the diverse ethnic
communities of Brampton's 330,000 people. Carabram is organized, managed and operated entirely by volunteers.

| The Hollanders Association of Brampton was founded in 1992, at the request of the Executive of the
Carabram Multicultural Festival, to participate in and contribute to this nationally recognized not-for-profit event
(the festival is held on the second weekend of July each year and attracts upwards of 60,000 visitors, many from as
far away as Scotland, Holland, England, Germany and the United States).
The Hollanders Association of Brampton, comprising approximately 30 members, all of whom are volunteers who
operate the award winning Holland Pavilion (www.dutchpavilion.org) during Carabram's three-day festival.
Over the course of the three days, approximately 4,000 - 6,000 people visit the Holland Pavilion. |
